About Me


I received my B.degree (Software Engineering) at Wuhan University, China, in 2008 and PhD (EE) at Dublin City University, Ireland, in 2012. My research aims to design ultra-reliable communication systems for mobile devices, mobile robots and autonomous vehicles. I was the postdoc researcher (2012-2014) funded by ERICSSON and Enterprise Ireland and the visiting scholar (2014) at Network Research Lab (led by Prof. Mario Gerla), UCLA, U.S. I was 3GPP delegate (2014-2015) on 5G at HUAWEI (Shanghai) Technologies.Co.Ltd. During 2015-2019, I was the Associate Professor at Key Lab of RF Circuits and Systems (Ministry of Education), Hangzhou Dianzi Univeristy. I co-founded RobSense (Hangzhou) Technology Co.Ltd which designs and produces UAV solutions for industrial IoT. RobSense has received over 10million RMB from venture capitals since 2015. In 2019-2020, I was the Assistant Professor at Maynooth University (Ireland). In 2020, I joined Northumbria University (UK) as the Senior Lecturer. I won the best paper awards at IEEE ICCRE 2016 and IEEE BMSB 2014. I am the Accocite Editor at IEEE ACCESS and IEEE Transactions on Consumer Electronics.
